Privacy Policy

How Connava collects, uses, discloses, protects, retains, and deletes personal information across profiles, travel planning, Community, trips, Marketplace, notifications, and support.

Effective August 15, 2026 Lavitatech LLC · Connava

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Lavitatech LLC, which operates the Connava brand (“Connava,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information when you use Connava’s mobile application, websites, Community, trip-planning features, Marketplace, support channels, and related services (the “Services”).

This policy does not govern independent third parties whose services, websites, listings, or businesses you access outside Connava. Those parties may have their own privacy practices.

2. Information we collect

Account and authentication information

We may collect identifiers used to create and secure your account, such as email address, authentication provider information, account identifiers, email-verification status, and security-related account metadata. When you use a third-party sign-in provider, we receive only the information that provider makes available to Connava based on your settings and the sign-in flow.

Profile information

We may collect your first name, optional last name, Connava identifier, profile photo, bio, home city, travel interests, visited countries, optional social-media handles, and profile visibility preferences. Connava is designed to use a Community-facing display name that shows your first name and, if you provided a last name, only the last-name initial in applicable public Community contexts.

Travel preferences and saved activity

We may collect quiz answers and travel preferences such as interests, trip type, travel timing, budget range, pace, climate preferences, regions of interest, social preferences, saved destinations, bucket-list activity, visited indicators, passed destinations, and other personalization choices.

Location and travel context

If you grant location permission, Connava may process device location or a location-derived city/region to provide location-aware features such as local context, weather, and travel or flight-time recommendations. You may also provide a location manually or choose to skip location access. Device operating-system controls govern permission access.

Community and review content

We collect content you choose to submit, including destination questions, discussion topics, replies, votes, ratings, reviews, review photos, timestamps, and information needed to attribute content to the appropriate public profile. Review text and photos submitted to public destination areas may be visible to other users and visitors as the applicable feature indicates.

Trips and group messages

We collect trip details such as trip title, destination, dates, organizer, invited or participating members, itinerary items, completion status, and group messages. Trip content is generally intended for members of that trip, subject to moderation, security, legal, and safety access described in this policy.

Marketplace information

If you browse, buy, sell, book, or list on Marketplace, we may collect listing titles, descriptions, destination, meeting information, prices, duration, capacity, availability, requirements, accessibility information, cancellation policies, seller contact information, listing photos, seller identifiers, buyer or booking information, transaction status, reviews, reports, and other information necessary to operate the Marketplace.

Payment and transaction information

Where payments are enabled, a third-party payment processor may collect payment-card or bank information directly. Connava may receive limited payment and transaction information such as payment status, transaction identifiers, amount, currency, fees, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, and fraud signals. We do not ask users to send full card numbers, passwords, or one-time login codes through Community or trip messages.

Safety, reporting, blocking, and moderation information

We may collect reports, report reasons and details, blocked-user relationships, hidden-content choices, moderation actions, listing-review information, evidence submitted in a dispute, safety communications, and records reasonably necessary to prevent abuse or enforce our rules.

Device, push notification, and technical information

We may collect device and app information needed to operate the Services, such as app version, device type, operating-system information, notification permission status, push-notification tokens, network or request metadata, crash or performance information, and security signals.

Support communications

If you contact us, we collect the information you send, such as your email address, message content, screenshots or attachments, and information needed to investigate or respond.

3. Sources of information

We collect information directly from you, automatically from your use of the Services, from your device when you grant permission, from other users when they interact with you through Connava, from authentication or payment service providers, and from service providers that help us operate, secure, or support the Services.

4. How we use information

5. What may be public or visible to other users

Connava includes public and shared features. Depending on the feature and your settings, other users may see your Community display name, profile photo, bio, optional profile sections you choose to make visible, destination discussions, replies, ratings, reviews, review photos, Marketplace listings, Marketplace reviews, and other content you intentionally submit to a public-facing area.

Trip details and trip group messages are intended for members of the applicable trip rather than the general public. Marketplace transaction details are shared with the parties and service providers as needed to complete or support the transaction.

Blocking and hiding controls can reduce future interaction or visibility within Connava, but they cannot remove copies that another person previously saved, screenshotted, exported, or shared outside the Services.

6. How we disclose information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Service providers

We may disclose information to vendors and service providers that perform services for Connava, such as cloud hosting, authentication, storage, database services, notifications, fraud prevention, security, support, analytics, weather or location-related functionality, and payment processing. They may process information only as permitted by their agreements with us and applicable law.

Other users and Marketplace participants

We disclose information you choose to make public or share through Community, public profiles, Marketplace listings, reviews, trip membership, and group features. Marketplace Sellers and Buyers may receive information reasonably necessary to communicate, fulfill a booking, address safety or accessibility needs, resolve a transaction, or comply with law.

Legal, safety, and rights protection

We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or valid legal process; necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, threats, or illegal activity; necessary to protect users or the public; necessary to enforce our agreements; or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Business transfers

If Connava is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.

With your direction or consent

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or otherwise consent.

7. Advertising, sale, and cross-context behavioral advertising

Connava does not sell personal information to third parties. If Connava later introduces advertising or data practices that constitute “selling,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under applicable privacy laws, we will update this policy and provide legally required notices and choices before using personal information in that manner.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain account and transaction history, protect safety and security, enforce our agreements, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and support legitimate business operations.

Retention periods vary by data type and context. Public content may remain available until you delete it, it is removed through moderation, or your account is deleted or de-identified, subject to lawful retention needs. Transaction, dispute, fraud, chargeback, tax, moderation, and legal records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary or required by law. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.

9. Account deletion and data deletion

Connava provides an in-app path to initiate account deletion. When an account-deletion request is completed, we delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account that we are not required or permitted to retain. We may retain limited information when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, transaction records, chargebacks, safety investigations, dispute resolution, tax or accounting requirements, or to prevent a banned user from evading enforcement.

Where technically and legally appropriate, public User Content associated with a deleted account may be deleted or de-identified. Information that another user independently copied or shared outside Connava is outside our control.

For help with deletion or privacy choices, email connavatravel@gmail.com.

10. Your choices and controls

11. Privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent, or information about categories of personal information and disclosures. You may also have the right to appeal certain privacy-request decisions.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Authorized-agent requests may require proof of authority and additional verification where permitted by law.

Submit requests to connavatravel@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy Request.”

12. Children’s privacy

Connava is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create or use a Connava account. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without legally required authorization. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we may take steps to delete the account and associated personal information consistent with applicable law.

Marketplace transactions and selling are limited to adults who are at least 18 and legally capable of entering a contract.

13. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using strong account security practices and protecting sign-in credentials and verification codes.

14. International use

Connava may be accessed while users travel or reside in different countries. Personal information may be processed in the United States and other locations where Connava or its service providers operate. Where required, we use lawful mechanisms and protections for cross-border transfers.

15. Third-party services

Third-party authentication, payment, travel, maps, links, and other external services have their own privacy practices. Review their notices before providing information directly to them. Connava’s Privacy Policy does not control an independent third party’s processing of information outside Connava.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, data practices, legal obligations, or safety practices. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law.
