Terms of Service
Terms governing your use of Connava, including Community, reviews, trips, group messaging, Marketplace activity, user content, safety controls, and dispute resolution.
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Lavitatech LLC, which operates the Connava brand (“Connava,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your access to and use of the Connava mobile application, websites, features, content, communications, Community, trip-planning tools, Marketplace, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, accessing or using the Services, or clicking or tapping an acceptance control, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Platform Policies, and any additional terms presented for a specific feature or transaction.
If you do not agree, do not access or use the Services. Certain features may require a separate acknowledgment before use.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Connava. If the law where you live requires a higher age for you to consent to online services or data processing, that higher age applies. Marketplace sellers, buyers entering binding transactions, and any user offering or purchasing age-restricted services must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a contract.
You agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your account, protect authentication credentials and verification codes, and promptly update information that becomes inaccurate. You are responsible for activity occurring through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. You may not create an account for another person without authorization, impersonate another person or organization, or create accounts to evade restrictions or enforcement.
3. What Connava provides
Connava is a travel discovery, planning, community, and marketplace platform. Depending on availability, the Services may allow users to discover destinations, save travel preferences, create and manage trips, invite other users to trips, communicate in trip group messages, participate in destination-focused Community discussions, publish reviews and photos, browse Marketplace listings, offer real-world services or experiences, purchase or book those offerings, report content or listings, review Marketplace participants, block users, and hide content.
Features may change, be added, removed, suspended, or limited. We do not guarantee that every feature, destination, listing, seller, buyer, itinerary, recommendation, price, availability, or item of content will always be available.
4. Travel information and recommendations
Destination information, recommendations, estimates, weather-related context, travel times, availability, community posts, reviews, and other travel content are provided for planning and discovery. They may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or affected by circumstances outside Connava’s control. You are responsible for independently verifying information that matters to your health, safety, legal compliance, transportation, entry requirements, accommodations, purchases, and travel decisions.
Connava is not a travel agency, carrier, lodging provider, immigration adviser, insurance provider, emergency service, or government authority unless a feature expressly states otherwise. You are responsible for passports, visas, permits, vaccinations, insurance, accessibility needs, safety precautions, transportation arrangements, and compliance with applicable laws.
5. Community discussions, replies, and reviews
Connava Community is designed for destination-focused questions, conversations, reviews, and travel information. You are responsible for content you submit, including text, ratings, replies, photos, links, profile information, Marketplace reviews, and other materials (“User Content”). User Content reflects the views of the person who submitted it, not Connava.
You may not post unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, exploitative, sexually abusive, privacy-invasive, infringing, deceptive, spam, malware, or intentionally dangerous content. You may not manipulate ratings or reviews, coordinate false reviews, accept undisclosed compensation for deceptive reviews, or misrepresent a first-hand experience.
Reviews must reflect a genuine experience or a good-faith opinion based on information you are entitled to share. Connava may limit review frequency, prevent duplicate reviews, label edited content, remove content, or apply other integrity controls.
6. Photos and public content
If you upload a photo with a destination review, profile, Marketplace listing, or other public-facing feature, you understand that the photo may be stored by Connava and displayed publicly or to the audience indicated by the feature. Do not upload images you do not have the right to use or images that unlawfully expose another person’s personal information, private location, identity documents, financial information, or other sensitive details.
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Connava a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt for technical display, distribute, publicly display, communicate, and otherwise use your User Content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, secure, moderate, promote, and provide the Services. This license ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except for content retained in backups for a limited period, content we must retain for legal or safety reasons, or copies independently shared by other users outside our control.
You represent that you have all rights needed to grant this license and that Connava’s permitted use of your User Content will not infringe third-party rights.
7. Trips, invitations, and group messages
Users may create trips, invite eligible Connava users, manage trip participants, maintain itineraries, and communicate in group messages. Trip organizers are responsible for inviting only appropriate participants and for managing trip access. Participants are responsible for what they share with the group.
Trip messages are intended for trip coordination. Do not use them for harassment, unsolicited commercial solicitation, scams, credential requests, identity-document requests, or other prohibited conduct. Blocking or safety controls may prevent invitations, additions, visibility, or interaction between affected users.
Connava does not guarantee that any trip participant will travel, pay an expense, follow an itinerary, provide accurate information, or act safely. Travel arrangements and interpersonal agreements among participants are their responsibility unless Connava expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
8. Marketplace: Connava’s role
The Marketplace may allow independent users or businesses (“Sellers” or “Providers”) to publish listings for real-world services, events, food and culture offerings, and experiences, and may allow other users (“Buyers” or “Consumers”) to inquire about, book, or purchase those offerings.
Unless a listing expressly states that Connava itself is the provider, Connava is a platform and intermediary, not the seller, employer, partner, joint venturer, agent, tour operator, venue, caterer, transportation provider, or professional service provider for a Marketplace listing. Sellers are independent and are solely responsible for their offerings, personnel, taxes, permits, licenses, insurance, descriptions, prices, availability, accessibility statements, safety practices, legal compliance, performance, and obligations to Buyers.
Connava may review, approve, reject, suspend, rank, remove, or investigate listings, but any review or approval is a platform moderation decision and is not a certification, endorsement, guarantee, background check, professional credential verification, or assurance of safety, legality, quality, identity, or performance unless we explicitly state otherwise for a specific verification program.
9. Seller obligations
By creating or operating a Marketplace listing, a Seller represents and warrants that:
- the Seller is at least 18 and has authority to offer the listed service or experience;
- all listing information, images, pricing, availability, meeting information, duration, capacity, requirements, accessibility information, credentials, and policies are truthful, current, and not misleading;
- the Seller will obtain and maintain all licenses, permits, registrations, certifications, insurance, consents, tax registrations, and other approvals required by law or reasonably necessary for the offering;
- the offering does not violate law, third-party rights, sanctions, safety rules, venue rules, or Connava policies;
- the Seller will honor accepted bookings and disclosed terms, communicate material changes promptly, and provide the service with reasonable care;
- the Seller will not engage in discrimination prohibited by law, fraud, bait-and-switch conduct, hidden mandatory charges, forged credentials, counterfeit services, identity theft, payment diversion, or requests for account passwords or verification codes;
- the Seller is responsible for injuries, losses, claims, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, disputes, and obligations arising from the Seller’s acts, omissions, personnel, premises, equipment, food, transportation, or service, except to the extent caused by Connava’s own legally actionable conduct.
Connava may require information reasonably necessary to assess safety, identity, business status, or policy compliance. Failure to provide requested information may result in listing or account restrictions.
10. Buyer obligations and due diligence
Buyers must review each listing carefully and use reasonable judgment before booking, paying, traveling to a meeting location, sharing personal information, consuming food, participating in physical activity, relying on accessibility claims, or entering a private location. Buyers are responsible for evaluating whether an offering is suitable for their circumstances and risk tolerance.
Before purchase or participation, Buyers should independently evaluate material information such as provider identity, reviews, meeting location, inclusions, exclusions, age or health requirements, cancellation terms, accessibility, insurance where relevant, permits or credentials where relevant, transportation, weather, and emergency considerations. A positive review, listing approval, badge, ranking, or presence on Connava does not eliminate the need for due diligence.
Buyers must provide accurate booking information, comply with lawful and disclosed participation requirements, respect Sellers and other participants, and not make fraudulent chargebacks or false reports.
11. Marketplace payments, pricing, refunds, and taxes
Where Marketplace checkout is enabled, payment processing may be provided by a third-party payment processor. Connava may receive transaction status, identifiers, amounts, fees, refund status, and other information needed to operate the transaction, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and keep records. Connava does not require users to send passwords, one-time authentication codes, or full payment card details through Community or trip messages.
Prices, service fees, taxes, cancellation rules, and refund terms presented at checkout or in the applicable listing form part of the transaction terms. Sellers are responsible for taxes they are required to collect, report, or remit unless Connava or a payment provider is legally required to do so.
For services or experiences consumed outside the app, payment methods may be provided in a manner consistent with applicable platform rules. Refund eligibility depends on the transaction terms, applicable law, and the reason for cancellation or dispute.
12. Marketplace reviews of Sellers and Buyers
Where enabled, Buyers may review Sellers and Sellers may review Buyers after a qualifying Marketplace interaction. Reviews must be honest, relevant, based on the interaction, and free from retaliation, extortion, discrimination, harassment, manipulation, or confidential personal information.
Users may not threaten a negative review to obtain money, a refund, a discount, or another benefit to which they are not entitled. Users may not offer compensation in exchange for a false or misleading review. Connava may remove reviews that violate policy or compromise review integrity.
13. Safety, scams, fraud, and prohibited transactions
Fraud, scams, impersonation, money laundering, stolen payment instruments, deceptive listings, forged documents, phishing, account takeover, unsafe or illegal services, exploitation, trafficking, and attempts to evade safety controls are prohibited.
Do not send money or sensitive information because another user pressures you to act quickly, requests secrecy, requests gift cards or cryptocurrency for an unrelated transaction, asks for login or verification codes, or directs you to a suspicious or unverified link. Connava may use automated and manual measures to detect abuse and may preserve relevant records when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal compliance.
14. Reporting, blocking, hiding, and moderation
Connava may provide tools to report Marketplace listings, Community content, reviews, replies, users, or other activity; block users; hide content; and manage visibility. A report does not guarantee removal or a specific outcome. Connava may review reports, content, transaction records, account history, and other relevant information to enforce these Terms and our Platform Policies.
Blocking may restrict content visibility, profile interaction, trip invitations or additions, and other interactions. Because blocking is a safety tool, users may not create alternate accounts or use another person’s account to bypass a block.
Connava may remove content, reduce distribution, reject listings, issue warnings, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, cancel access, preserve evidence, or report activity to authorities when we reasonably believe it is necessary to enforce policy, protect users or Connava, prevent fraud, comply with law, or address safety risk.
15. Connava intellectual property
The Services, including Connava’s name, logos, branding, software, source code, object code, interfaces, visual design, workflows, destination organization, original text, graphics, databases, selection and arrangement of content, and other materials created or owned by Connava, are protected by intellectual-property and other laws. Except for the limited right to use the Services under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.
You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, mirror, republish, sell, license, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, bypass technical restrictions, create derivative products from, or use Connava proprietary materials to build or train a competing product except to the extent a restriction is prohibited by applicable law. You may not use Connava trademarks, trade dress, branding, or confusingly similar identifiers without written permission.
These Terms do not disclose or license Connava confidential information, internal moderation logic, security controls, source code, ranking methods, recommendation methods, system architecture, or other trade secrets.
16. Third-party services and links
The Services may interoperate with third-party authentication, mapping, weather, payment, communications, hosting, analytics, or other service providers and may contain links to third-party sites. Third parties are responsible for their own products, services, terms, availability, content, and privacy practices. Connava is not responsible for third-party services merely because they are accessible through or used with Connava.
17. Suspension, termination, and account deletion
You may stop using Connava at any time and may use available account-deletion controls. Account deletion is intended to delete or de-identify personal data associated with the account that Connava is not required or permitted to retain for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, payment, chargeback, dispute, tax, or recordkeeping purposes. Some information may remain in limited backups for a reasonable period before being overwritten.
Connava may suspend or terminate access when a user materially or repeatedly violates these Terms or Platform Policies; creates safety, legal, fraud, or security risk; misuses the Marketplace; infringes rights; evades enforcement; or when suspension or termination is otherwise reasonably necessary to protect the Services or users.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, payment obligations, disclaimers, indemnity, limitations of liability, dispute terms, and retained licenses necessary for lawful archival copies—survive.
18. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” CONNAVA DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
CONNAVA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS; THAT TRAVEL INFORMATION WILL BE COMPLETE OR CURRENT; OR THAT A USER, SELLER, BUYER, LISTING, REVIEW, DESTINATION, SERVICE, EXPERIENCE, LOCATION, OR TRANSACTION WILL BE SAFE, LEGAL, ACCURATE, SUITABLE, AVAILABLE, INSURED, LICENSED, OR SATISFACTORY.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
19. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONNAVA AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, PERSONAL DECISIONS BASED ON USER CONTENT, OR THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF USERS, SELLERS, BUYERS, TRAVEL PROVIDERS, OR OTHER THIRD PARTIES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONNAVA’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO CONNAVA IN FEES DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US$100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
20. User-to-user disputes and release
Disputes may arise between users, trip participants, Buyers, and Sellers. Connava may choose to facilitate communication or review evidence but is not obligated to adjudicate private disputes unless required by law or by a specific transaction program.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release Connava from claims arising solely from the independent acts or omissions of another user or third-party provider, except to the extent the claim results from Connava’s own legally actionable conduct.
21. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Connava and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your User Content; your Marketplace listing or service; your violation of these Terms or law; your infringement of third-party rights; or your fraud, willful misconduct, or negligent acts or omissions. Connava may control the defense of a matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to reasonably cooperate.
22. Dispute resolution, arbitration, and class-action waiver
Please contact Connava at connavatravel@gmail.com before filing a formal claim so the parties can attempt to resolve the issue informally. The notice should describe the dispute, the relief requested, and the account email or other information reasonably necessary to identify the relevant account or transaction.
Except for claims eligible for small-claims court, requests for emergency injunctive relief involving intellectual property, fraud, account security, or unauthorized access, and claims that cannot legally be arbitrated, you and Connava agree that disputes arising from these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act. Arbitration will be administered by a nationally recognized arbitration provider under its applicable consumer rules, before one neutral arbitrator, with remote participation available where permitted.
No class proceedings. To the maximum extent permitted by law, disputes must be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, consolidated, mass, or representative action. The arbitrator may award relief only to the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to resolve that party’s individual claim.
30-day opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing connavatravel@gmail.com within 30 days after first accepting these Terms. Your message must include your name, the email associated with your Connava account, and a clear statement that you are opting out of the arbitration agreement. Opting out of arbitration does not opt you out of the rest of these Terms.
23. Governing law and venue
The Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration provisions above. For matters not subject to arbitration, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the U.S. state where Lavitatech LLC maintains its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the law of your residence requires otherwise. Any non-arbitrable proceeding must be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction over the parties and dispute.
24. Apple App Store terms
If you obtained the Connava iOS application through Apple’s App Store, your license to the app is also subject to Apple’s applicable end-user license terms. Unless Connava and you agree to a valid custom EULA, the Apple Standard EULA applies to the licensed application. Apple is not responsible for Connava’s Services, User Content, Marketplace listings, support, or third-party offerings except as expressly stated in Apple’s terms.
25. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Services, law, safety practices, or business operations. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law or when a change materially affects user rights. Continued use after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
